KAORI
Welcome to Enter Yes’s Bespoke Character Creation Pipeline
Below is a breakdown of how characters are developed at Enter Yes. This process is designed to be as efficient as possible, allowing users to create high-fidelity characters at the lowest possible production cost.
The current workflow is built around Autodesk Maya. However, we are continually updating this pipeline with new scripts and improvements, and we plan to migrate key techniques to other software platforms in the future.
Below is a reel demonstrating some of the uses of our KAORI character workflow.

Below is a video explaining how to download the KAORI shelf and the face controller required to drive the KAORI system.
Overview
The Kaori system is divided into seven distinct areas of character development:
Head
Mouth
Tongue
Body
Eyebrows
Eyelashes
Beard
The KAORI system does not require the use of all seven areas of development. An artist can create simple characters using only one area—for example, just the head—with a limited number of blend shapes, such as blinking or opening and closing the mouth.
Alternatively, a character can make use of all areas of development, along with a broader and higher-fidelity set of blend shapes, allowing for much greater control over expression and performance.
At Enter Yes, the level of detail is typically driven by project budget. This is why we developed KAORI—to support a wide range of characters across varying levels of complexity and fidelity.
Below is a link to the list of blend shapes that can be used with KAORI, when creating your desired blend shapes it is super important that you follow the correct naming conventions as the KAORI shelf automatically looks for the names of blend shapes it recognises and links them to the correct controllers.
